I just stumbled upon your web site and read the Chief Seattle letter. Never
had I know that he had such a great mind. Being a white American, I guess I
saw him the same as others did in 1855, a Savage, a drunken Indian? I don't
know. The ironic thing about this is I commute to work everyday through a
little town called Squamish, where he is buried, and have never even thought
twice about stopping to pay my respects.
Thanks for giving me more insight into this remarkable person.

months) I was looking for a picture of him and couldn't find one to put
with my copy of his speach. Now I have one, many thanks....really
