I just stumbled upon your web site and read the Chief Seattle letter. Never
had I know that he had such a great mind. Being a white American, I guess I
saw him the same as others did in 1855, a Savage, a drunken Indian? I don't
know. The ironic thing about this is I commute to work everyday through a
little town called Squamish, where he is buried, and have never even thought
twice about stopping to pay my respects.
Thanks for giving me more insight into this remarkable person.
